Countless families and individuals have entrusted their pre-arrangement details over the years. Should the services be pre-arranged, numerous decisions will be avoided. The next-of-kin and/or executor would generally meet with the funeral director to finalize the arrangements. At this time, all of the instructions would be reviewed and there is opportunity to make modifications if circumstances require, or if preferences have changed. Cemetery arrangements may also be pre-planned along with related cemetery services and memorialization.
If you are unsure whether pre-arrangements are in place, we are certainly able to quickly confirm this for you (please note that specifics of the file may only be released to the appropriate legal representative of the deceased i.e. the executor or legal next-of-kin.) All original documentation and instructions are kept on file at our offices so you don't need to worry about locating paperwork.
They Were Made Elsewhere - Can We Transfer?
If pre-arrangements had been made elsewhere, they are transferable to one of the Irvine Family's facilities and we pledge to honour the terms of the original arrangements and absorb any cancelation fee you may encounter. The deceased's legal representative would be required to sign a transfer authorization.
What if We Haven't Pre-Arranged?
Please know that we will respond immediately to your request for assistance whether or not a pre-arranged funeral plan is in place. While pre-arrangement is something we highly recommend, certainly there are many cases where death occurs - perhaps without a great deal of warning - and unfortunately no plans are in place. This is when it is most important to contact us without delay. We will guide you through the process and assist in every way possible.
We understand that it is not always possible to pay respects in person & hope that this small token will help.
